Human Primary Epidermal Keratinocytes; HK-HN-200 #15-2503 Datasheet

 

The primary cell isolate was prepared from human tissue obtained with full ethical permission. Cells were isolated by enzymatic digestion and cultured in optimal conditions for keratinocyte growth. Cells were banked and cryopreserved under liquid nitrogen. The cell population was analysed by fluorescence-activated flow cytometry.

Isolated from normal abdominal skin

Vial content:  0.5x106 cells

Appearance:  Sheet of flat cells with central nuclei

Seeding density:  5,000-6,000 cells/cm2

Culture medium:  GibcoTM SF Keratinocyte medium recommended

Recovery from frozen:  97% on Type I collagen

Population doubling:  7-8 days

Negative for Mycoplasma, HIV1, HIV2, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C

Negative for yeast, bacteria and fungus

 

                      

Keratinocyte marker Pan-cytokeratin 80.24%

 

 

Uses and restrictions

  • Store at -150°C. Once thawed do not re-freeze
  • For research use ONLY — not suitable for in vitro diagnostic use or human or animal treatment
