It is generally agreed that primary cells provide much more physiologically relevant data than immortalised cell lines which have been cultured for many generations.  Data generated using human primary cells provides useful indicators of in vivo actions which can result in significant cost savings later in a research or drug development programme, as only the most suitable candidates will move forward to in vivo studies.  However primary cells are rarely used in cell-based assay systems, as they are not widely available and are difficult to grow and maintain.  By using our considerable cell culture expertise, we are able to provide primary cells of known phenotype in a ready-to-use format.
