Chemical characterization of these complex biochemical mixtures is achieved using a range of chromatographic fractionation techniques, together with mass spectrometric or proteomic analysis, all backed by our research partners’ experience directly relevant to the complex biochemical mixtures found in traditional medicines, temperate and tropical plants extracts or foodstuffs.

AvantiCell’s service partnerships draw upon the expertise of specialists located in Italy, Malaysia and Shanghai, China. In-house cell-based screening, combined with partner chemical fractionation and structural analysis have been applied successfully to identify the bioactive components of known and novel therapeutics in biochemically-complex natural materials, providing scientific validation of the original material and offering routes to synthetic reconstitution of their therapeutic activity.
